Media Planner and Buyer

The Role

As a Media Planner & Buyer you will develop and execute media strategies and buying plans to meet our clients’ marketing objectives. This role demands strategic thinking, comprehensive media knowledge, and strong negotiation skills to optimise media spending for maximum reach and engagement.

The Tasks

  • Develop and implement media plans utilising digital, print, broadcast, and social media channels
  • Execute media buying strategies to optimise reach and stay within budget
  • Act as the main client contact, aligning media strategies with marketing goals
  • Understand client objectives, present media plans, and ensure alignment with goals
  • Conduct market research, develop data-driven strategies and monitor performance to optimize campaigns
  • Negotiate rates, manage media purchases, and maintain vendor relationships
  • Work with Account Executives and the creative team to integrate and execute media plans
  • Generate performance reports and provide actionable insights for future campaigns

Entry Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years in media planning and buying, preferably in an agency setting
  • A degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field preferred
  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills; proficiency in media planning and buying tools; ability to manage multiple projects
  • Understanding of media trends and consumer behaviour; proactive and results-driven.
